For the Emmy nominated NBC series “Surface” Short was given the assignment to supervise the North Carolina/on set special visual effects. After contributing to the designs of the creature named Nim, Short interfaced for 7.5 months on set with the series directors and Los Angeles based visual effects supervisor Mitch Suskin in designing the visual effects shots. Short also supervised the more complex special make-up effects throughout the series.
