Short was responsible for the design, on set supervision and post production of all Visual Effects and overseeing the Make-up Effects for “Punisher War Zone".

Working closely with director Lexi Alexander and supported by producers Gale Anne Hurd and Jack Murry, Short applied his talent to a wide variety of visual effects ranging from exploding heads, infernal glass crushing machines to cityscape matte paintings.

As the Visual Effects Supervisor Short was also responsible for overseeing the design and daily use of all Special Make-up Effects used throughout the production. From the villain Jigsaw and his patchwork face to victims hacked to pieces with axes, Short applied his 20 years plus of experience and technique to the support of the Punisher War Zone gruesome on set make-ups.

In addition to his effects duties Short was also requested to design and create the iconic skull logo seen on the Punisher’s armor and thoughout the publicity campaign for Punisher War Zone. From one sheets, websites, videogames and t-shirts, Short’s design is prominently featured.
